Not a short term solution, but you should probably consider getting another credit card if your current one doesn't allow you to pay in foreign currencies.I personally recommend mastercard as I can pay just fine with it regardless of the currency.

Late here, but I'm wondering that too. I hope it's not for the reason I suspect it might be...

Here's how I won on normal difficulty:

>Fix Saiko-chan.

>Have her ambush Yui OR face each other (in that case you push Yui).

>Steal key.

>Unlock door.

>????

>Win.

Edit: why the downvote?

I like free camera better.

I think top down camera might have a negative effect on the adventure part of the game as it greatly limits your vision. I believe changing the game camera to be a top down camera will also require certain parts of the game, such as the area where you can hide from a ghost (I think it's called the fashion room), require quite a bit of an overhaul as a top down camera just won't work well in those places. A final reason why I'm against top down camera is that you can't see Eve Antoinette properly, and I think that's a shame when she is a really pretty protagonist.

So that's why I vote free camera.

It's a really good fangame game, but I have 2 questions:

1.Is there a way to adjust mouse sensitivity?

2.Is there a way to unlock the left door after climbing the stairs? I can still complete the game, but I can't seem to find a key for that door anywhere.

If I remember correctly, a lot of the previous versions can be found on the discord server. I recommend checking it out.

I just want to say your games are really interesting. They are very much unique in an amazing way. What you have is no doubt a talent, so please keep making games~!

Thanks~!

Or you could just ignore it and find another game.

Did you download and extract it?

Judging from the comments here, you're not the only one who didn't notice the light switch when playing the game. I also did not notice it until I read your comment XD

The house looks like half a house lol. Great game though.

Completely unrelated, but sauce of the picture?

This was one of the better horror games I have played here. 5/5 stars.

Glad you're not abandoning itch io, because in my opinion DRM-free > Steam. Looking forward to the update~!

Well, that is an interesting result. Will it be a mix of both? lol.

I think it depends on what your plans are for that character. You probably already know this, but there is also something important to keep in mind to avoid a plothole, which is the key to the mansion. How did they get in if the main character found the key outside the locked mansion?

I think highschool girl is the safe choice, while paranormal investigator is the one with most potential of making the game unique (if that makes any sense). I'm not sure which one I prefer, so I will flip a coin and decide with that XD

Ended up with Highschool girl (heads). I find it interesting how the poll on Twitter is at 50/50 now lol.

I didn't just hear about it, I donated money to the project. Other people have donated as well. Wouldn't it be better to leave the game possible to download but add "On hiatus" to the description? Or does it cost money every month or something just to have it on itch io?

What happened to Ravings? I can no longer find it here on itch io.

I think it can be a bit difficult to decide without a sketch or something, but I would probably prefer skirt + long socks.

No worries, it isn't that big a deal anyway lol. Everyone understands at this point anyway that version 2.1 is another version. I think it was really just semantics to me.

It might not lag for you, but it does lag for me and many others. Painfully so. No, there isn't a way for me to improve it without also getting rid of much desired features.

I largely agree with the achievements part of your comment though. There are some games that don't register achievements in offline mode, but most do AFAIK.

How did I come to this conclusion? Because I got a Steam key after purchasing this game on itch io (I don't buy on Steam anymore after a certain Steam library "update" was made mandatory). Look at this Steam thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1546860/discussions/0/3095635055516419785/

All you need to do is contact habupain on this game's discord.

You did imply it by saying "then you are allowed to download it". You didn't say "Download latest version" or something of that sort.

Maybe it's just semantics lol. OP probably knows it all at this point anyway.

I don't think you have to pay for every single update. It's a one time payment as far as I know (let me know if I'm wrong). I don't know about patreon, but if you buy it on itch io, you get a Steam key too if you message the dev on discord. If you supported it on patreon, then I wouldn't be surprised if you get a key (assuming you paid $4). Ask the dev on discord if you really did support this game prior to it becoming a paid game.

EDIT: the game page has changed since last I looked and now says "Anybody who ever donated previously with minimum amount $4 can get a steam key for FREE!" so I assume if you donated $4 via patreon, you will get a Steam key.

Not completely true. Pretty much every version prior to 2.1 is still free.

It's 4 dollars but these people are blind lmao.

Itch io > Buy > Have Fun.

Fixed that for you.

The game is out at this point, but no. Buy itch io version as you also get a Steam key. You also won't be supporting Steam that way, so that's a big bonus (in my opinion at least).

I know it's been a while since you made the comment, but it's not true. 2.0 can still be found here, and previous versions can be found on discord. Every version prior to 2.1 is free.

Ask dev on discord.

No, it's not a DLC type of game where you pay money to unlock features to the same version. It's two different versions: 2.0 and 2.1, with the latter costing $4.  At the time of my comment, I assumed OP was referring to version 2.1 (maybe I was tired? idk), but it's obvious now s/he wasn't and just hadn't bought the 2.1 version. Instead they had probably just clicked the "Download version 2.0 " without reading that it said "version 2.0".

You don't necessarily* need to pay every time an update comes out. The game "Among Us" updates every once in a while, and you don't have to keep buying the game every time it happens. You just download the newer version, that's it. You don't lose access to your content, or they would very quickly end up in legal trouble.

I suggest buying the game on itch io because that version is DRM-free, and you don't have to worry about a multitude of problems when something is DRM-free, e.g. the problems that came with the Steam library update in 2019 and still exist to this day. If a game is DRM-free, it's just you and the game. You are also not forced to use the latest update either. All of that is why I suggest the itch io version.

*By "necessarily" I mean if the developer intends to publish a different version on Steam. It's rare, but does happen. The game "LIRE" is one such example. If you are not as massively against Steam as I am, then I suggest asking about the Steam version versus the itch io version on the "Saiko no Sutoka" discord.

>18 second speed run.

>Video is 10 minutes long.

I was going to call it clickbait, but find that it's the game's fault. That bug has existed for quite a long time now :o

Thank you for restoring it. I hope you give my suggestion some thought. After all: the more places to buy, the greater the number of potential customers. Or so I believe anyway.

Good luck with the Steam release. I hope it's successful.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I see. I have previously bought "Among Us" on itch io and it came with both an itch io download link and a Steam key as well. Isn't something like that possible for you to do with your game too? if you can't change the price on this page, then maybe make this page "Chapter 1" and then make a new itch io store page titled "Chapter 2 onwards" or something like that (like you have with "LIRE Prototype") that has the Steam price? I prefer DRM-free itch io rather than Steam to be honest.

I already have V1.08 downloaded, but now that you mention it, I just checked and the download link is gone (it says "Nothing is available for download yet."). This could prove to be an issue for future customers and myself if something happens to my PC, so could you please fix it? I don't know how many have bought the game, but I believe it would be annoying to receive lots of mails from customers who suddenly notice their download link is gone lol.

Congrats on making it to Steam~

I bought it here on itch io a while ago. Can I have a Steam key or?

@sumikii!

Narvonix more or less already said most of it, but DRM-free means you don't rely on external software when playing your game i.e. no need to log in (or stay logged in while playing) or be slowed down by third-party software, and no required internet connection (like Narvonix mentioned). It's just you and the game. Games requiring you to put a disc in your computer while playing can be argued to be an early form of DRM, but most probably find that level of DRM acceptable. Some games in the "pre-online library era" don't require a disc at all, such as Age of Mythology Gold Edition (AoM GE), which means they are completely DRM-free. No need to log in or anything, just double click the game icon (.exe to be exact) and you are good to go. All itch io games are, as far as I know, DRM-free; you only need to download a game, then you can play the game. Not really any different from AoM GE.

Steam isn't like that these days. On top of requiring you to log in, it also exposes you to the problems in the library that I listed in my previous comment. Furthermore, these aren't the only problems, they are just the ones I care most about myself. There is no way to get rid of these problems on Steam without also getting rid of wanted features. Hence, I have been buying DRM-free ever since the library update was made mandatory. That's why I suggest DRM-free purchases; you don't need to fear the DRM-software becoming super bad, like what has happened to Steam.

What do you mean? They are unlocked.
